Breadcrumb
It’s amazing what you can do in a day – when you find the right place to do it, and the right people to do it with.
And that’s just what you’ll find at Kanata Summer Day Camp. Come enter our world of the great outdoors, great activities, great friends and great fun.
Day campers enjoy the same natural surroundings and programming that make Kanata such a popular place for summer overnight camping.
Kanata Summer Day Camp runs from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday - Friday and is filled with daily swimming, assemblies and activities for rising grades 1 - 8.
Character Development
At Camp, we believe in reinforcing good behavior and teaching our campers the importance of our five core character traits: respect, responsibility, caring, honesty and faith in God. We recognize good character at camp by pointing out campers who display these traits throughout the day and through incentive programs like bead necklaces. Devotions are a daily time for campers to reflect on goals, experiences and positive behaviors.
Activities
Camp Kanata is full of activities like racing down our double water slide, or paddling a kayak on the lake, or casting a line. Campers can climb the Climbing Wall, play ultimate frisbee or take a hike with friends and counselors.
Wacky Wednesdays
Each week, there is a special Wednesday assembly during which campers may dress up according to the day camp week theme. Campers that dress up may participate in silly games and competitions for prizes.
