Administrative Assistant
I have been part of the Camp Kanata team since early 2020 where my job as Admin Assistant immediately (and temporarily) changed to helping with remote learning during the pandemic. Growing up in North Carolina, I attended many different camps, including camps with my church youth group and my Y Guides Crew. One of the most important things I have learned in life from my own experiences and watching it in action here at Camp is that community is everything. We all need people who will support and cheer us on in life.
My favorite Camp food is s’mores, and I believe they’re perfectly acceptable for breakfast—especially with a cup of cocoa! Growing up, my favorite parts of Camp were spending time outdoors in nature and singing Camp songs with everyone at assemblies.
Today, my favorite things about Camp Kanata are walking the trails and hearing campers laugh and sing as they pass by the office. Those joyful moments are a wonderful reminder of what makes camp so special!
