Catie Siegling

Fellows Program Participant

Vista everyone! My name is Catie Siegling and I am serving in the Fellows Program for 2024-2025, focusing on staff and trainee initiatives. I am from Chapel Hill but attended college at NC State where I studied Communication (PR) with minors in Political Science and Women and Gender Studies.

I started coming to Camp in 2014 as a camper and absolutely loved it. After that, I participated in the CILT and CIT program before becoming a staff member in 2020.

In my five summers on staff, I served as a Day Camp counselor in 2020, Cabin 3 counselor in 2021 (B4L), Communications Coordinator in 2022, CILT Coordinator in 2023 and CIT Coordinator in 2024! All of those were incredible experiences that developed me so much as a person and leader that kept me coming back every year.

Favorite Camp Memory: Getting to be CILT and then CIT Coordinator back-to-back was one of the highlights of my time at Camp. Getting to be with the same group of trainees two summers in a row and see their growth into amazing counselors was such a meaningful experience for me.

Favorite Place at Camp: The Cabin Area will always have such a special place in my heart - I have so many great memories as a Butterfly camper and counselor there. It feels so quintessential to camp.

Favorite Thing about Camp: I love going down the slides at the Waterfront, particularly the right one. Racing a friend or camper down the slides on a sunny afternoon in the summer fills my bucket every time.

Hobby of Yours: I have gotten really into running in the past year! I hope to run a full marathon by the end of 2025.

What did you want to be when you grew up?: A court judge, movie director or first-grade teacher
