Kids are Happier after Camp

For many kids, Summer Day Camp is their "happy place." In fact, research shows that kids are happier after camp. As parents, we want our children to grow, be active, learn new things, make friends and be happy. YMCA Camp Kanata is the perfect place for all of that to happen and much more!

Here are six reasons kids are happier after Summer Camp.

Active Fun

Camp gives kids the chance to participate in many different activities and experiences like archery, sports, swimming, crafts and more. They also get much-needed free time to play.

The Great Outdoors

They unplug from devices, relax and reconnect with nature at camp. Fresh air, sunshine and laughs included.

New Skills

Kids leave camp better than they were before. The variety of activities makes it easy for them to enhance their skills and even discover new ones.

Confidence-Boosters

Our nurturing environment helps them develop confidence, social skills and positive self-esteem. With diverse opportunities to succeed, camp provides just the boost kids need!

Friendship

Camp is the place kids make lasting friendships. They might even make a best friend at camp.

Caring Counselors

Kids love our summer camp staff, who are fun, nurturing and engaging. Trained to bring out the best in children, they make it their goal to delight kids with a camp experience they won’t forget.
